first of all
just to get things started,this is a blog project initiated by English Department for the Upper Secondary Four of Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College Students.
i will try to post atleast two post each week,that is not a promise as i might busy on soem days.Just to remind readers,that i would appreciate that you do not steal any thing as i have made a caution by disabling the right click on the blog.

What is politics?
Where did all these politicians come from?
Why are there here?
How are the politics in Brunei?
Does corruption occur in politics?
all your question will be answered in this posts but first of all how can politic be defined as.It is defined as a system in which a party of people get-together to collect different ideas in solving a problem.Lets take Brunei Darussalam as an example.Brunei Darussalam's Legislative Council would usually held a yearly meeting to discuss on government matters in making Brunei Darusslam more prosperous and in managing the financial matter of each of the Ministries under the Government.This helps the country in improving itself by the number of smart ideas shared by the Council Members.Politics has made live improved,we can see this through history.In the old days,people who did crimes were not arrested at put into jail.This has caused chaos everywhere in the old days but because of a more civilised system of governments introduced,this has been reduced.People who do crimes now are being arrested at being sent to court to hear their judgement for the wrongdoings they had done.
The word politic actually came from a Greek word "Politika".Politics was introduced into this world so there would be justice to the world.The people who did good would be honoured and the bad would be punished.
Let us now talk about the politics of Brunei.The Political System of Brunei is Absolute Monarchy which means the Sultan or Ruler Of Brunei is the Head Of State and Head Of Government.Brunei has introduced the Legislative Council consisting of 20 appointed members.The Sultan of Brunei has full executive authority including emergency powers or we can say that His Majesty has the power to announce Brunei is under state of Emergency if something would occur.The National Philosophy of Brunei is enriched with "Melayu Islam Beraja" or in short MIB.So this shows that His Majesty accentuate Malay as a Language,Islam as the religion and Monarchy as the system of governance.This shows how the Sultan stand out as the Ruler who rules with absolute power.In which the next in line would be the Crown Prince.
let us now talk about something that is quite unpleasant to hear.Corruption in Politics.This happens when Government Officials misuse their powers for their own good.This really happens,we can take this non-fiction story as an example.There was once a loyal man who always did good for his boss but one day he was given a sum of money to do something like get one of his employee fired.So this is corruption as he was bribed which was brought something good to him but bad to his fellow employee.When a government lose control of its Government Officials whereby Bribery happens all the time.This causes the whole government to breakdown as government official are like the pillars of the country.When they are not stable the whole country breaks down.So we hope that this is not practised in our country.
